Believe it or not, I am posting this blog from Safari, the Mac OSX browser. Well, that’s easy to believe I guess, but here’s the amazing part, I am running it on a Dell laptop. I’ve stumbled acress one of the most impressive applications I have ever seen. It’s called PearPC (www.pearpc.org) and it is a PowerPC emulator.
It’s still pretty rough around the edges and it isn’t for the faint of heart when it comes to getting Mac OSX up and running, but what a great way to test applications/web sites on Mac OSX without having a Mac sitting on your desk.
I’m running The latest version of Panther (10.3.5) and plan to test Tiger (10.4) when I get back to work. If you have any need for a Mac, but don’t want to invest the money in a machine, DEFINITELY check out PearPC.
Enjoy, and if you have any questions about it, comment and I’ll be happy to tell you what I did. :-)
