Long time no type

Yes I know.

“Where’s Mr. Wizard?”
“Is he dead?”
“Where are the pictures of the baby?”
“Didn’t he have a birthday coming up?”
“Where is my appetizer?!”

Well, I’ll do my best to answer these questions:

“Where’s Mr. Wizard?”

I’m right here.

If you want to know where I’ve been, that’s a different question.

Okay, okay, I’ve been lacking on posting due to a number of reasons but it’s primarily due to prioritization of free time. I’ve been pretty busy with church/family/work/school and when I get some free time, I tend to spend it playing video games or watching TV. You’re probably thinking something like, “Why don’t you blog in that free time?”. I’ll tell you why. I don’t know.

Truthfully, blogging requires some thought. At the very least I am forced to adhese thoughts into some structure and make the whole mess pseudo-readable. That takes many more brain functions than running around shooting people or laughing at Stewie (Family Guy, duh).

So, I’ve just got back from a real-life reprieve due to a business trip to CA and I’m feeling frisky. Enjoy it while it lasts….

“Is he dead?”

No, just dying.

Not from anything specific, but we begin to die the day we are born. That’s a fact.

“Where are the pictures of the baby?”

Well, we had an ultrasound. However…

[drama]
On the day of our ultrasound, a huge storm came through Noblesville, knocking out power to the big hospital in town, as well as the power at our doctor’s office, which is where the imaging systems were. Needless to say, the hospital was only doing emergency imaging due to their running on backup power. We were pretty bummed. I guess I didn’t think about what would possibly prevent the ultrasound, I was more focused on the neato-nature of the whole deal. To make matters worse, we were unable to schedule another appointment because the computers were down. So, we left. We weren’t happy, but we left.
[/drama]

However, we got the appointment scheduled the next day, and got to see the baby.

Oh, and if you haven’t heard, IT’S A GIRL!!!!!. Her name is Emma and we couldn’t be happier.

Here’s a pic… Emma Leigh Heacock

“Didn’t he have a birthday coming up?”

As a matter of fact, my birthday was on 9/9 and I am 28 and loving it.

If you insist on sending me something, I’ll take one of these.

“Where is my appetizer?!”

That never came out? I’ll check with the kitchen… It should have been here…

Let me know if there are more questions that demand answers!

  1. Congrats on the scifi style baby pic!

… you’ll get your Bently when I get my appetizer.

  2. She has your head. Hopefully she won’t get your feet. ;)

  3. I just got the funniest picture in my head. She grows up to look just like Jaime, same size and all, but gets your humongoid feet. That’s a funny thought.

At least nobody would be able to push her over. Too bad American Gladiators isn’t on TV anymore…she would *rock* the joust.
